The people behind the practice
Three surgeons.
Distinct backgrounds.
FORM’s published biographies describe complementary training in reconstructive, cosmetic and facial surgery. These summaries reflect the practice’s own information; current registration and specialty can be checked through the CPSO register.
Dr. Ron Somogyi completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the University of Toronto. He then pursued two fellowships in Melbourne, Australia, combining reconstructive experience with further training in cosmetic surgery.
At the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, his fellowship focused on reconstruction after cancer treatment, including microsurgical techniques for breast reconstruction. His second fellowship, at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery, covered a broad range of aesthetic and general plastic surgery.
FORM reports that he has worked on staff at North York General Hospital since 2014, holds privileges at Women’s College Hospital and teaches as an Assistant Professor in the University of Toronto’s surgery department. His research, publications and teaching include breast reconstruction, augmentation and surgical safety.

Dr. Michael Brandt’s practice at FORM Face + Body is dedicated to facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. His background is in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery, with an emphasis on facial anatomy and individualized treatment planning.
He trained in head and neck surgery at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, followed by a facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan. FORM lists certification through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Alongside clinical practice, he teaches as an Assistant Professor in the University of Toronto’s otolaryngology department. His official biography describes published research, national professional committee work and recognition for teaching. His work also includes training other providers in facial aesthetic treatments.

Dr. Cory S. Goldberg studied medicine at Queen’s University and completed plastic surgery residency at the University of Toronto, alongside a master’s degree in biomedical engineering. He later undertook advanced craniofacial training at the University of Southern California and Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
FORM identifies him as a former head of plastic surgery at Trillium Health Partners and reports plastic surgery certification in Canada and the United States. His Toronto practice includes breast surgery, body contouring and facial procedures, with a particular interest in facial aesthetics informed by his craniofacial training.
His work beyond clinical practice includes teaching at the University of Toronto and volunteering with Operation Smile on cleft lip surgery. He also completed an executive MBA through Cornell and Queen’s and has contributed to the development of surgical facilities outside hospitals in Ontario.
